AQUATICA - NEW HOUSING, NEW PORT
Just before DEMA began Aquatica announced their newest housing, the Sony A7r II, and we got the first preview of this new housing this week. The Aquatica housing stands out with its unique rear dial control, fully mimicking the control dial on the back of the camera. In addition, Aquatica showed off its new slim macro port which includes built in threads for a macro diopter.Â

BENEATH THE SURFACE
Always innovating the guys at BTS released their DSLR Bridge bar this year, offering a sturdy bar for just about any DSLR housing which you can attach a variety of accessories or buoyancy floats. In addition it creates a secure, safe place for the DM to grip your camera when handing it up to the boat. They've also got a few new things in the works coming up such as a new float ring for macro ports and GoPro trigger release. Keep an eye out for these great products in the coming months.

FANTASEA
The latest housing, for the RX100 IV has been out and working excellently, so this year at DEMA the new news from Fantasea is a few new lights. They have a new Radiant PRO 2500 which offers a wide white, a red and UV mode. In addition they are already working on housings for the upcoming Canon G5X and G9X cameras.

FIX - NEW AQUAVOLT
Fix has a new 5000 lumen Aquavolt, offering high quality lighting at an affordable price. In addition they've released a new more affordable simple remote for the Neo and Aquavolt lights.Â
IKELITE - NEW HOUSINGS
Ikelite dropped a huge bomb at DEMA this year, the announcement of a complete overhaul of their housings. Created with a new lighter, stronger plastic, these new housings will be available in both the standard 200ft depth rated dive version as well as a 45ft depth rated version designed for near surface activies such as surf and snorkel photography. The housings will be interchangeable so you can mix and match the front and backs. In addition these new housings will feature a wider port opening, allowing use of popular high end lenses with wider diameter bodies and a new port connection. Lastly a new line of Ultra Compact housings for those just getting started offer a high quality waterproof casing with limited camera controls or features.Â

ITORCH - NO LONGER JUST LIGHTS!
Along with a few new lights as always, iTorch wowed us with a brand new product - a STROBE. This isn't your ordinary strobe either; called the Symbiosis it brings together a high powered strobe and a high powered video light in one compact unit. With a guide # of 32 and a built in 1000 lumen video light (which is upgradeable to 4000 lumens) this strobe will offer shooters the best of both worlds. Coming this spring, we'll get the strobe in the water and tested as soon as we can!

KELDANÂ
The big news at Keldan are new daylight balancing filters that allow you to shoot with daylight white balance for the ultimate in even, natural looking lighting with any of the Keldan lights. In addition they are working on the release of two extremely high powered lights with a 21,000 and 24,000 lumen video lights.Â

LIGHT & MOTION
No incredible new products from the dependable Light & Motion line, but the incredible news from them lately was the huge price drop across their entire line of focus and video lights. New this year are an updated GoBe 850 and an upcoming Video 2500 Spot / Flood.

NAUTICAM - INNOVATION AS ALWAYS
Always on the cutting edge Nauticam revealed its new Wet Wide Lens (WWL-1) and along with it a great new bayonet release system that will work with both the WWL-1 and their high quality macro converters allowing for quick and very easy lens changes underwater. We also got our hands on the new Pansonic GX8 housing, Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II and took a look at the housing for the Small HD 502 monitor.Â

SEA & SEA - NEW HOUSINGS
Sea & Sea was showing off the new YS-D2 strobe and new housings such as the Sony A7 II and Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II. We've seen and been using these great new options for a bit now, so no big surprises here, but more of the great quality product that we expect from Sea & Sea.

SeaLife has revamped their popular Micro HD camera, with improved resolution and memory this fully sealed camera is a perfect option for someone looking for the easiest to use, never flood underwater option.Â

ULTRALIGHT
The leader in arms, clamps and mounting accessories for your underwater set up has revamped the very base of any modular arm system once more. We got to check out their new clamp which offers better grip and control especially when using heavier strobes and lights.Â
