GoPro HERO 11 is Compatible with GoPro HERO 10 Housings!

This is great news for anybody upgrading from a GoPro HERO 10 to the new GoPro HERO 11! All existing GoPro HERO 10 housings will work with the new HERO11.

The Underwater Photography Guide has reviewed the HERO 10 and the HERO 11 extensively in the past, so this article won't go into the cameras themselves. Flip 10 Filters

The other benefit of the GoPro HERO 11 being compatible with HERO 10 housings is its compatibility with HERO 10 accessories, such as the Flip 10 filters. The new GoPro Hero 11 housing from GoPro also works with Flip 10 filters. These filters let you flip a filter down in front of your GoPro mid-dive to correct for certain conditions like the loss of color at depth. They're made from an aircraft-grade aluminum frame and are easy to operate underwater, even with gloves on.

QR Codes

Changing GoPro settings can be difficult, if not impossible, mid-dive while underwater. Thankfully there's now an easy solution. These handy QR codes are perfect for quickly changing between different custom video modes and settings. Simply hold them in front of the lens while diving, and the GoPro will read the QR code and automatically switch to the corresponding settings.

You can change from Wide, Narrow, 5500K Video Light White Balance, Linear + Horizontal Leveling, and Slow Motion in a matter of seconds. The resolution, lens, frame rate, ISO, color profile, hyper smooth, zoom, EV, bitrate, screen saver, screen brightness, and hindsight are all set in the codes.
