Product Overview:
Ikelite has designed an underwater housing for the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K camera. It is lightweight and best suited for diving, surfing and pool use. It uses the new Dry Lock Port System which gives added security and can accomodate large diameter lenses. The housing also provides access to all important functions of the camera.
Ikelite Housing Features:
- Lens Ports - The housing uses the Ikelite DryLock Port System. The system features an improved visibility of the seal and it reduces the chances of water dropping. The ports are also very light yet robust.
- Vacuum System - The housing has the option of a vacuum system. The vacuum system gives you the peace of mind during your dive that your housing is sealed.
- TTL Exposure - This housings supports your choice of shooting manual strobes or adding TTL electronics depending on your application. You can enjoy the fastest and most accurate TTL exposure on the market by adding the PT1K Panasonic TTL Kit with Hotshoe # 46031 and a compatible Ikelite DS strobe. Exposure compensation can be used added or subtracted in the camera.
- Control & Setup - For controls, the shutter and AF/AE lock levers stand out with super sensitive and natural feeling curved levers. All push button controls are machined and hard anodized aluminum to reduce weight and resist salt build-up. The back of the housing is laser engraved with control symbols which will never fade or fall off.
- ViewFinders - The included Super-Eye Viewfinder provides an enhanced view of the camera's optical viewfinder when viewed through a dive mask. The viewfinder removes quickly and easily for the attachment of an optional Ikelite Straight Magnified Viewfinder or Ikelite 45° Magnified Viewfinder Type 1
- Strobe Firing - Strobes other than Ikelite such as Sea & Sea, Inon, Retra with an electrical connection can be triggered in manual exposure modes using an electrical sync cord. Strobes without an electrical sync cord connection cannot be attached to this. Fiber optic only strobes are not compatible with this installation
- Base & Handle - The housing may include the base tray and left hand quick release handle for steady shooting.
Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K (Leica L)
With their new Cinema Camera 6K, Blackmagic Design makes next-generation digital film capture accessible to everyone. This high-end camera, which is based around a full-frame 6K sensor and an active Leica L lens mount, has accurate skin tones, vibrant colors, a broad 13-stop dynamic range, and an integrated OLPF filter (optical low pass) that is designed specifically for the enormous 24 x 35mm sensor. The capacity to simultaneously record deep bit-depth Blackmagic Raw and H.264 proxies to Blackmagic Cloud will be valued by ENG users and other mobile shooters. The Pocket Cinema Camera line is improved with the Cinema Camera 6K, but all of the PCC accessories can still be used with it.
New Full Frame Sensor
A huge full-frame sensor with a native resolution of 6048 x 4032 to capture shots with a shallow depth of focus for a truly cinematic appearance. This sensor allows the use of anamorphic lenses uncropped.
With dual native 400 and 3200 ISOs going up to 25,600, the sensor's 13 stops of dynamic range produces excellent, low-noise shots in all lighting circumstances, even direct sunlight and very low light levels.
The New Leica L Mount
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K's full-frame sensor now accommodates the Leica L lens mount, which also guarantees compatibility with both modern and antique lenses. The most recent full-frame lenses from companies like Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma are compatible with the L mount due to its huge 51.6mm diameter.
With a very small flange distance of only 20mm, it is very simple to install Canon EF, ARRI PL, and other adapters for a range of lens mounts without sacrificing image quality.
For suitable lenses, the separately sold EF adapter enables lens control and data transfer.
