Ikelite Canon G1X MKII Housing

In 2012 Canon released the G1X, promising a big step forward with a larger sensor compact camera. Unfortunately the camera fell flat, with a slow lens and poor autofocus. For the underwater world the lens caused major issues as the long focal range caused it to not work with wide angle lenses, and it could not focus closely enough to a subject to excel at macro like many other compacts.
With the G1X MKII Canon claims to have corrected these issues. Auto focus has been improved, the LCD has been upgraded and the lens is better. The new lens is a faster 24-120mm, which should be better for macro, and tests from our manufacturers show it should work with popular wide angle lenses, like the UWL-04 (further tests from us to confirm this still need to happen).

Ikelite G1X MKII Housing:
The Ikelite housing for the Canon G1X offers a high quality, clear polycarbonate case, so you can easily see your o-ring seal. The housing is a little larger than the aluminum versions, but comes with a single handle to make it easy to handle underwater. The housing has Ikelite's built in TTL circuitry for Ikelite brand strobes, but also features fiber optic connections for using other brand strobes with a fiber optic cable.
