Ikelite DS 230 Strobe Review

Ikelite's DS strobe lineup is known for being at the forefront of underwater strobe technology. The long awaited DS 230 is Ikelite's highest end model ever created, and it is finally here! The DS 230s feature 33% more power than the DS 161s, a 130 degree beam angle without diffusers, and a 2500K video light. We took the first DS 230 prototypes diving during our Socorro Underwater Photo Workshop and captured some incredible photos. With fewer hotspots and more power in our photos, the DS 230s showed a discernible difference from their predecessors - check it out!
