Product Overview:
The Ikelite G11/G12 housing is a great mid-range choice, better build than the Canon housing. This housing fits the Canon G11 & Canon G12, both considered the top compact cameras out there.
Unlike the Canon and Recsea housings, this Ikelite housing offers electronic sync capability with a strobe.
Special conversion circuitry built in to the housing provides true Canon eTTL exposure connected to any current model Ikelite DS Strobe. The camera controls the strobe's output resulting in a great exposure. Non-Ikelite strobes can be used manually with proper sync cord.
The housing comes standard with an optical-grade glass flat port which allows full use of the camera's zoom without vignetting. The Canon G12 and G11 cameras feature a 28mm wide-angle setting. External wide angle conversion lenses cannot be used to any advantage. For wide-angle work the housing does accept the Ikelite WD-4 Wide-Angle Conversion Dome Port. The conversion dome corrects for the refractive magnification of the flat port underwater to restore the camera's original angle of coverage.

Wide-angle and macro lens options for the Ikelite G12:
Iif you want to shoot wide angle with this housing, your only option is to use the Ikelite WD-4 dome, or the high-quality Recsea 8mm circular fisheye lens. The Recsea G12 housing supports a wider variety of wide-angle options.
For awesome macro shots, use the Dyron 67mm adapter, and a Bluewater macro lens or Subsee macro lenses. All those macro lenses can also be stacked.
