The Ikelite Manual Fiber Optic Transmitter is compatible with a range of Ikelite housings and strobes, making it a versatile addition to any underwater photographer's toolkit. It works seamlessly with various models, including the Ikelite DS160, DS161, DS162, DS230, and DS232 strobes.
The Ikelite manual fiber optic transmitter is a small, independently sealed device that may be used to replace your Ikelite flash bulkhead and provide dependable fiber optic triggering for compatible fiber optic underwater strobes. When we utilized with Ikelite strobes (DS160ii, DS161, or DS230) and a High Sensitivity Optical Converter, we were able to achieve a high frame rate burst, all this is supported in an Ikelite underwater housing.
Two CR2032 lithium single-use or rechargeable batteries (not supplied) power the transmitter. A built-in power-saving mode on the transmitter increases battery life, so you can expect about a week's diving from a single battery. It is always advisable to travel with extra batteries.
