Port SystemÂ
The housing utilizes Ikelite's Dry Lock Port System -Â Â it is lightweight yet durable and has a unique design, the o-ring is outside the port mount. It improves visibility during installation and reduces chances of water dropping onto your camera. There are also lots of port options available for various lenses.
Vacuum System
The Ikelite Nikon Z5 Housing already comes with a vacuum valve preinstalled. This allows you to draw out air out of your system using the Ikelite Pressure Pump with Gauge and check if the housing is completely sealed. This gives you the peace of mind that everything is A-OK prior to diving
M16 Accessory Port
A spare M16 bulkhead is available for third accessories such as HDMI for monitors and such.
TTL Exposure
The housing supports both shooting in manual or adding a Ikelite DL1 DS Link Nikon TTL Converter NT3 with Hotshoe Kit for a fast and reliable TTL exposure shooting. Note, only compatible with Ikelite DS Strobes and supports rear curtain synchronization and exposure compensation can be added or subtracted in the camera
Control & Setup
Controlling your camera through the housing is very easy. Buttons, levers and dials are readily available at your finger tips, ergonomics is also excellent. Shutter and AF-On levers are super sensitive and can be extended with the Ikelite Trigger Extension.
Installing the camera to the housing is also a breeze with its front loading design. A small plate is attached to the bottom of the camera and is secured in the front of the housing. No need to remove the plate when changing batterie or memory cards.
