With its high-speed back-lit CMOS image sensor and brilliant 25–100mm mid-range zoom lens, the TG-7 offers exceptional low-light performance. The TG-7's microscope mode is one of the greatest underwater macro alternatives now available if you enjoy searching for microscopic details. As good as, if not better than, pricey mirrorless cameras, this camera can capture macro close-ups.

Having the only underwater housing that allows you to use the amazing FCON-T02 Fisheye Lens will come in handy when you want to experiment with wide angle photography. All you need to do is replace the flat port with the optional Dome Port to go from macro to wide angle diving in one dive. Full zoom through is possible with a single button press on the incredibly lightweight FCON-T02 with Dome Port. Split shots—photos taken with one half in and the other out of the water—are made simple by this combination, which can make using external wide angle lenses challenging or impossible.

Ultra HD 4K video recording and RAW image capture are supported by the TG-7. RAW image capture is a useful tool for post-dive color changes using Adobe Lightroom or other associated software. Setting up the TG-7 is a little less stressful because it is waterproof to 50' (15.2m) even without a housing.

The Ikelite 6" Dome Port offers the best of everything: wide angle, macro, and over-under all on one dive. This special dome port replaces the housing's standard port and provides sharp 25mm wide angle, full zoom through and macro capabilities, and is perfect for split shots (half-in, half-out of the water). Add the optional FCON-T02 Fisheye Lens with converter for the widest option available for this camera.

The W-30 Wide Angle Lens, INON UWL-H100, and other 67mm threaded wide angle lenses, provide a wider maximum angle of view. Because these are separated from the camera's lens by glass, air, and water, some vignetting and edge distortion will be present. These effects can be reduced or eliminated by using a smaller aperture, zooming in slightly, and/or cropping in post-production.

External macro lenses with 67mm threads from INON and other manufacturers, can be attached directly to the front of the housing's port.
