A precisely calculated and uniquely designed fly-eye dome lens for the light-emitting part of the INON S-220 Underwater Strobe attains extraordinary underwater beam angles of 140° horizontally × 100° vertically with minimal light distribution variation. This allows for stunning underwater images with even illumination, regardless of the subject or shooting conditions.

The fly-eye dome lens is made of high-quality optical glass with a precisely calculated curvature. Reliable "S-TTL Auto" and 12-step "Manual Flash"

The INON S-220 Underwater Strobe is equipped with a reliable and proven INON original high-precision automatic "S-TTL Auto" flash control system. This system ensures that your flash output is perfectly matched to the ambient light, resulting in perfectly exposed images every time.

The S-TTL Auto system can be used not only with camera's built-in flash, but also with INON original TTL converter equipped with INON housings, "X-2 R6 Mark II","X-2 R6" and "X-2 R5". This gives you even more precise TTL control, so you can be sure that your images will be perfectly exposed, even in challenging lighting conditions.

The S-TTL Auto system also features a 12-step "Manual Flash" function with -0.5EV. increment. This gives you the flexibility to fine-tune your flash output to perfectly match your shooting conditions.

Large Wheel Dial for Greatly Improved Controllability and Phosphorescent Control Panel Improves Readability

The INON S-220 Underwater Strobe features a redesigned control panel with a large control wheel and switches that significantly improve operability. The control wheel is now larger and easier to grip, and the switches are now more tactile and responsive. This makes it easier to adjust settings quickly and easily, even in challenging underwater conditions.

In addition, the rear control panel is made of white-based highly illuminant phosphorescent material. This material glows in the dark, making it easy to read the controls even in low-light conditions. This ensures that you can always make the necessary adjustments to your strobe, even at night.

Double O-rings Significantly Reduce Flooding Risk

The battery box of the INON S-220 Underwater Strobe is waterproofed with a double O-ring system. This system consists of an oil-bearing yellow O-ring and a black O-ring. The oil-bearing yellow O-ring provides a watertight seal, while the black O-ring provides additional protection against accidental flooding.

Front Adaper Base for Flexible Lighting

The INON S-220 Underwater Strobe can be used with a variety of ball adapters, such as the "Z Adapter MV" and "Direct Base Ⅲ". These ball adapters are located forward close to the light-emitting surface, instead of rearward in the previous models. This allows for more flexible lighting, as the optical cable does not interfere with the beam angle.

Operates on 4 Readily Avaiable, Inexpensive AA Batteries

The INON S-220 Underwater Strobe is powered by four AA batteries. These batteries are widely and reasonably available, so you can easily find them at most stores. However, rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries such as "eneloop" and "eneloop pro" are recommended for the best performance. These batteries can be used repeatedly and reliably, and they can also withstand cold temperatures.

With rechargeable batteries, you can get up to 250 flashes on a single charge. This means that you can use the INON S-220 for extended periods of time without having to worry about running out of power.

Various Dome Filters

The INON S-220 Underwater Strobe is equipped with a bayonet mount that can be used with a variety of dome filters. These filters can be used to adjust the beam angle, light intensity, and color temperature of the strobe.

The included dome filters are:

• Strobe Dome Filter S [SOFT]: This filter increases the strobe beam angle to horizontal 150° x vertical 110° while reducing light intensity by -0.5EV. This is useful for wide-angle photography, as it allows the strobe to illuminate a wider area.
• Strobe Dome Filter [ND]: This filter reduces light intensity by -4EV. This is useful for macro photography, as it allows you to control the amount of light that is reflected off of the subject.

In addition to the included dome filters, two optional color filters are available:

• Strobe Dome Filter S [4900K]: This filter warms the native strobe color temperature of 5500K to 4900K. This can be useful for underwater photography in warm water, as it can help to offset the blue cast that is often present in underwater images.
• Strobe Dome Filter S [4600K]: This filter warms the native strobe color temperature of 5500K to 4600K. This can be useful for underwater photography in cold water, as it can help to offset the green cast that is often present in underwater images.
