Product Overview:

The Magic Filter- Auto Magic External Filter is designed to produce colorful underwater photos even without flash or lights.  This filter is not your ordinary red filter, they have made their filter from a unique formulation. 

Mounts On the Port:

The external filter is also made from 3mm thick acryllic material which is mounted on your camera housing.  The filter can also be taken out during dive if not needed.

Why Do You Need a Filter?

The point of a red filter is to compensate for red light loss which takes place under water. The reason being at about 10 feet there is no red light. The camera's white balance is thrown off because of the red light loss causing the camera to record colors which are too blue or too green. A filter compensates for the red light loss tricking the camera into recording natural colors the way you see them.
