Read our review on Magic Filters
Product Overview:
The Magic Filter is designed to produce colorful underwater photos even without flash or lights.  This filter is not your ordinary red filter, they have made their filter from a unique formulation and made from optical quality polyester gels. The photographer must set the white balance manually every a few meters during the dive and is recommended to be used up to 15m (although many photographers are happy with the results even up to 20m)
The M77 is an original Magic filter designed to be mounted on the front of wide angle lenses with 77mm front filter threads, that do not have rear filter holders.
This filter measures approximately 75mm in diameter. This filter can also be used on other lenses with smaller filter threads. It can easily be cut down to size with our stencil and scissors to fit 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm and 72mm filter threads.
This filter is designed to be mounted on the front of the lens, held in place behind a diopter or clear glass filter.

Why Do You Need a Filter?
The point of a red filter is to compensate for red light loss which takes place under water. The reason being at about 10 feet there is no red light. The camera's white balance is thrown off because of the red light loss causing the camera to record colors which are too blue or too green. A filter compensates for the red light loss tricking the camera into recording natural colors the way you see them.
