External Monitors and Recorders allow you to visualize your subjects as you create content as well as unlock special recording features on your underwater camera. Monitors and recorders connect to your camera via an HDMI or SDI cable and recieve video/audio feed from the camera. Monitors are used only for visualization and tend to be more affordable than dedicated recorders. They are a great option if you don't want to try to put your eye up to your viewfinder with a magnified viewfinder. On the other hand, recorders can record video footage at fast data rates, allowing for you to shoot at higher bit depths and bit rates. Some recorders will allow you to record with a Log picture profile or a RAW video file. These special features are great for video shooters that want to color grade their video and get more involved in post processing.
