Nauticam Sony A7R IV Underwater Housing
This version is discontinued, check out the new Nauticam Sony A7R IV Housing!
Â
Nauticam sets a high bar of excellence in their underwater housings. The Nauticam A7R IV underwater housing is a top quality aluminum underwater housing designed with excellent ergonomics. This housing is smaller than a standard dSLR housing, has an excellent port lock system, and supports a huge variety of lenses. The bulkheads support different combinations of sync cords, external monitors and/or their highly recommended vacuum valve system.
Most people who use strobes with this housing end up getting the flash trigger, for faster firing through fiber optic cables. If you are shooting video, I'd recommend two underwater video lights. Almost everyone end up getting the optional vacuum valve. Last, but not least, keep in mind that ports are optional - you'll need at least one flat port or one dome port, depending on which lens you want to use.
NA-A7RIV Housing Features:
HDMI 2.0 Support
The NA-A7RIV housing features the larger opening, m24 bulkhead which allows you to use Nauticam HDMI 2.0 Cables to connect to your recorders such as Atomos Ninja V
Â
Superb Ergonomics
Nauticam has a reputation of providing excellent ergonomics on all of their housings, and the housing for the Sony A7R IV lives up to their name. Buttons, levers and dials are easily accessible and very intuitively located. Even while wearing thick gloves the housing controls are very easy to operate.
Â
Patented Port Locking System
The locking lever has become a signature of the Nauticam brand. No twisting or threading action is required to mount a port, and it locks securely in place with this lever.Â
Â
Integrated Vacuum Monitoring and Leak Detection
Combined with an optional vacuum valve (PN 25624), this monitoring system provides constant updates on the water tight and safe-to-dive status of the housing via a simple color-coded LED lighting system. Green means go, safe to dive!
Â
Other Features:
- Increased zoom/focus gear ratio on the housing, which means faster and more precision control on the lens for videoÂ
- New handle bracket design to enhance the stability of handle control underwater
- New sealing O-ring design for LCD window
- M24 accessory port for HDMI 2.0 output connection
- Two more accessory ports on the rear housing: M14, M16
