Nauticam has been known to provide top quality aluminum housings with great ergonomics. The Nauticam Nauticam Atomos Shogun Housing lives up to Nauticams reputation. The housing provides a large view for the 7" Shogun Monitor and having a large external monitor when shooting videos makes a huge difference. Composing your shot with a clear, bright view of the subject, and having better information on exposure, color and lighting levels can be the difference between good footage and incredible footage. Ergonomics for the housing is also great. Buttons at the bottom right corner of the screen bring activate the Shogun “Waveform Monitoring Functions” and “Monitor Assist Functions” overlays. When the overlay active, three useful monitoring functions are available in via a touch screen arm that swings down from the top of the screen, and is pushed to enable a function. After using, the touch screen arm could be moved completely out of the way, providing an unobstructed view of the monitor. The monitoring functions are also available via the Nauticam housing touch screen interface.

Temperature Control System

The housing uses 2 active cooling fans in order to ensure normal operational temperatures while underwater. The fans help distribute heat over the housing back panel where it can be effectively transferred into the water.

Dynamic Mounting Options

It has two pre-drilled mounting points and optional brackets allow for a variety of mounting variations. The monitor orientation can be flipped when the monitor is mounted inverted.

Touch Screen Access

The access to the onscreen controls of the Atomos monitors is provided by buttons at the bottom of the housing and an arm at the top that swings out of the way when not in use

HDMI and SDI Versions

The Shogun Flame and Inferno monitors support both HDMI or SDI input while the Ninja Flame and Inferno are HDMI only. Two versions of the housing are available to support either configuration.

Rotary Locking Latch

Nauticam's Rotary Locking Latch securely seals the housing and prevents accidental opening.

Other Features:

Hassle Free Installation - The Atomos Shogun Monitor can easily be mounted to the housing with its 3 locking latches. The screen is mounted in the front of housing, face down when open. This mounting strategy allows easy changes of media, batteries, and connection of HDMI and SDI cables.

Nauticam Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System - The vacuum check and leak detection system is included with the housing as a standard equipment. This monitoring system provides constant updates on the seal integrity. Leak detection is built into the same circuit, so if there is water intrusion, an audible and visual indication will occur.
