USED: Nauticam Canon C200 Underwater Cinema Camera Housing
Â
Nauticam is known to produce high quality underwater housings and the Nauticam NA-C200 underwater housing for the Canon C200 Cinema Camera is no exception. The housing has been milled from aircraft-grade aluminum block, which makes it robust, sturdy and can take a beating. The ergonomics of the housing are also incredible. All essential camera controls are available at your finger tips and provide you full control over your cinema system while underwater.
The NA-C200 has multiple bulkheads conveniently located at various points on the top of the housings and can be used to connect various peripherals such as external monitors. When paired with the NA-502S, the housing and bulkheads allow for the use of the SmallHD 502 monitor with SDI support and Nauticam NA-502 monitor housing. In certain conditions it may be preferable to use the built-in EVF, which can be even further enhanced with the addition of a Nauticam magnifying viewfinder. These viewfinders are available in either a traditional 180 degree design or an angles 45 degree design.
They have designed the housing to have a modular system which makes it very flexible and customizeable to your needs and preferences. Various add-ons are available such as top-handles, skids and movable trim weights can be added to the system to enhace your shooting experience.Â
The housing includes the newest version of the venerable Nauticam Cinema Skids that feature tracks along which the accompanying trim weights can be moved to achieve perfect trim for steady shots. Mounts on the bottom of the housing also allow for direct attachment of the trim weights for a fixed trim or to be used for attaching an underwater tripod.
The NA-C200 housing will accomodate the Canon BP-A30 and larger BP-A60 batteries, which provide you plenty of runtime. The housing also comes installed with the Nauticam Vacuum Check and Leak Detection electronics. The addition of the vacuum valve gives temperature compensated (important for cinema cameras that generate significant sensor heat) visual indications via a large multi-colored LED on the rear of the housing.
