Nauticam Canon EOS C500 II & C300 III Underwater Housing
Nauticam has been well-known to be producing high quality underwater housings and the Nauticam NA-C500 II lives up to their reputation. The housing has been milled from aircraft-grade aluminum block, which makes it robust, sturdy and can take a beating. The ergonomics of the housing are also incredible. All essential camera controls for both Canon C500 II and C300 III are available at your finger tips and provide you full control over your cinema system while underwater.
The housing features six (6) M16 bulkheads strategically located at various points that allows you to conveniently arrange cables, accessories and peripherals (external monitors). In addition, it also has Nauticam Cinema Skids which allows you to add optional trim weights that can be moved to achieve perfect trim while shooting. Mounts on the housing itself also allow for direct attachment of the trim weights to allow for either a fixed trim or for when using tripod legs instead of the skids.
The NA-C500 II housing will accomodate the Canon BP-A30 and larger BP-A60 batteries, which provide you plenty of runtime. The housing also comes installed with the Nauticam Vacuum Check and Leak Detection electronics. The addition of the vacuum valve gives temperature compensated (important for cinema cameras that generate significant sensor heat) visual indications via a large multi-colored LED on the rear of the housing.
Key Features:
Mission Controls
Nauticam has designed the controls to be easily be accessible even without taking your eyes of the monitor. All settings adjusments are available at your finger tips. The Mission Control philosophy of Nauticam Housings means that all essential exposure controls are placed within easy reach from the handles.
Pantented Port Locking System
The locking lever has become a signature of the Nauticam brand. No twisting or threading action is required to mount a port, and it locks securely in place with this lever.
Zoom and Focus Control Knobs
Large diameter rubberized lens control knobs with marking disks provide the operator precise control over the lens, and are placed at the handles for ergonomic operation. The marking disks on the control knobs can be removed and marked with the desired lens position or focal information. The internal gear is moved away quickly via a small external lever to allow removal of the camera without disruption of focus/zoom gear alignment.
