Nauticam WACP-C - Wide Angle Conversion Port (Compact)
The WACP-C is the newest wide-angle conversion port from Nauticam. It builds on the success and popularity of the WACP-1 and WACP-2 but in a significantly smaller and more lightweight package. The WACP-C is roughly 37% smaller than the WACP-1 and 75% smaller than the WACP-2.
The WACP-C provides underwater photographers with a 130° field of view and is compatible with up to 28mm equivalent focal length lenses and housings with N100 port openings. If you're unsure about your lens' compatibility, please check the WACP-C port chart.
Using the WACP-C, you can capture sharper images corner to corner with minimal distortion than you'd be able to with a rectilinear lens behind a traditional dome port. Overall you get 3 f-stops of increased corner sharpness.
One of the other major benefits of this wide-angle conversion port is that you can use a zoom lens to capture a wide range of shots using different focal lengths on the same dive. Its zoom-through capability allows underwater photographers to capture wide, medium and close-up shots with ease.
