Nauticam Macro to Wide Angle Lens

Further expanding on their line of water contact optics, Nauticam has released another revolutionary lens. Aiming to allow DSLR and other interchangeable lens shooters the freedom of high quality wide angle and macro photography during the same dive, they've created the Macro to Wide Angle Lens.

This lens is designed to work with a full frame 60mm macro lens (or equivalent APSC / Micro 4/3rds). It converts the narrow macro lens into an ultra-wide 150° angle of view.

About the MWL-1

This lens is constructed from precision ground optical glass with advanced anti-reflective coatings to eliminate glare and internal reflection. The lens is abile to focus from the front element to infinity offering the best results at aperture F16 or higher on a full frame camera. In addition shooters can capture unique close focus wide angle images of macro subjects by placing the subject extremely close to the front of the lens where the exaggerated perspective will make that subject pop out from an ordinary background.

Mounting Options

With two mounting options, Nauticam's bayonet system or one of two available flip mounts, the MWL-1 can be quickly engaged or disengaged or even swapped for an CMC-1, going from wide angle to super macro in seconds.

The lens comes standard with the Nauticam Bayonet adapter allowing for quick and secure lens changes underwater. Alternately we recommend you pair it with either the Nauticam Single Flip Holder (86221) or Dual Flip Holder (86222). The single flip holder allows you to easily flip the lens on and off during the dive without needing to remove it completely. The dual flip holder adds the ability to also use a macro diopter such as the CMC or SMC to add super macro capabilities to your shooting arsenal.

Travel Friendly

The compact size, ease of use, focus range and incredible field of view make the MWL-1 the perfect travel friendly wide-angle option.  When heading to a primarily macro destination, bringing the MWL-1 along ensures you'll never miss that spontaneous wide angle shot and presents even greater creative options for close focus wide angle images of macro subjects.
