It is made from aircraft grade aluminum and the housing design has been well thought off with is user friendly setup and intuitive operation including tool-less setup and tear down in minutes. The size of the housing si small and compact. Erogonomics is excellent, all important camera controls are accessible through the housing and buttons, levers & dials are readily avaialble at your fingertips. Batteries can also be swapped without removing the camera from the housing.

The housing utilizes the N120 Port System which offers a wide variety of ports for various lenses. In addition, this also provides you access to Nauticam's professional premium optics such as WACP, SMC, and many more.

Patented Port Locking System

The signature port locking system fron Nauticam securely mounts the port to the housing using the lever without any twisting or threading action. Nauticam also offers various locking port extensions for diffent lenses and the dome will never twist even with long extension rings.

 

Zoom and Focus Control Knobs

The housing features an oversized mechanical zoom and focus knobs with erasable surfaces for focus/zoom position marks. The internal gearing is moved away quickly via a small external lever to allow removal of the camera without disruption of focus/zoom gear alignment.

 

Electronic Controls

Along with the mechanical controls, the housing integrates a series of electronic controls with backlighting. These controls can access Iris+/-, Shut+/-, ISO+/-, WB on the left side of the housing and Pre-Record, FPS+/-, Playback, Play/Pause, Magnify and Tools on the top of the housing. It also very visible even in low light conditions.

 

Cinema Accessories

The trim weights can be moved independently along the length of the skids and additional mounting points are featured on the housing itself to trim the housing to your exact needs.

• External Monitor - External monitors can also be mounted on your camera rig and connected via SDI bulkheads and cables giving more flexibility in positioning. We do recommend the Nauticam SmallHD 503 Monitor Housing and the Nauticam Atomos Ninja V-S Housing
• Battery Compatiblity - The housing has an integrated Micro V-Lock battery interface which allows to swap batteries without the need of taking out the camera.
• Ethernet Remote Control - The housing supports an ethernet surface feed in 5m (pole cam) and 45m (studio) lengths. Nauticam has designed the housing to have a space to install a USB-C to Ethernet adaptor which would allow for full control of the camera at the surface through the RedControl App.
• Vacuum and Leak Detection System - The housing is equipped with Nauticams Vacuum Check & Leak Detection System pre-installed and the Nauticam M16 Vacuum Valve is also included. The monitoring system provides a constant update on the housing seal integrity. For the leak detection, if there are any water intrusion inside the housing, an audible and visual indicator will be activated. The housing is also temperature compensated to avoid any false alarms.
