Recsea Canon G1X MKII Housing

In 2012 Canon released the G1X, promising a big step forward with a larger sensor compact camera. Unfortunately the camera fell flat, with a slow lens and poor autofocus. For the underwater world the lens caused major issues as the long focal range caused it to not work with wide angle lenses, and it could not focus closely enough to a subject to excel at macro like many other compacts.

With the G1X MKII Canon claims to have corrected these issues. Auto focus has been improved, the LCD has been upgraded and the lens is better. The new lens is a faster 24-120mm, which should be better for macro. For wide angle, you can use the Inon UWL-H100 28LD lens with a Recsea Port Adapter.
