Aquatica AD80 Underwater Housing
The combination of the Aquatica Underwater Housing for Nikon D80 and the Nikon D80 camera will significantly advance your underwater photography. It is made of solid aluminum, is treated and anodized in accordance with military specifications, and is painted with a highly resistant powder coating.
The housing makes all of the camera's control features accessible:
1. A moisture alarm (separate item) alerts you in the event that water seeps into the housing, allowing you to take action before the camera sustains harm.
2. High-tech housing: Made of solid aluminum, the housing is machined, treated, and anodized in accordance with military specifications before being coated with an extremely durable powder coating.
3. Multiple Lens Capability: The majority of macro, wide angle, and zoom lenses can be used thanks to a variety of interchangeable lens connectors.
4. With its positive bayonet mounting technique, the lens port ensures that your port is waterproof and firmly in place.
5. A Lens Release Button allows for quick and easy switching between lenses and ports on the front of the housing.
Viewing System: The viewing system is the most important component of underwater SLR photography. Even when wearing a dive mask, this housing's viewfinder provides the largest and brightest image possible for full-frame viewing to your eye. For precise composition and fine focusing, chromatic aberrations have been greatly reduced, and LCD information is readily visible in the camera's viewfinder.
6. There are double bulkheads in the housing. This makes it simple to attach two flashes or strobes to the housing.
Ikelite DS125 Underwater Strobe
The Ikelite Digital SubStrobe 125 (DS-125) features special electronic circuitry for use with digital cameras because of their use of preflash metering, but it is completely compatible with all film cameras and film camera housings.
With a compact design, the DS-125 provides 110 watts/seconds of power, a coverage angle of 100 degrees, and an impressively short full power recycle time of only 1 second.
With the right sync cord, the DS-125 may run in either TTL or Manual mode (Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8). As an alternative, for housings that do not have a sync connection, you can utilize the TTL Slave Sensor. By mimicking the camera's automatic exposure, the TTL Slave Sensor ensures full compatibility.
When linked to The Manual Controller, the DS-125 offers ten power adjustments in half-stop increments. One of the Ikelite sync wires can link the Manual controller to another device, or it can function as a wireless sensor that is activated by another strobe.
The following items are often included in packages: a strobe head, a battery and charger, an arm system, a TTL slave sensor or manual controller, and occasionally a tray and handle.
