UW Technics has recently shown their commitment to innovation, and their latest release, the Optima 10000 Underwater Strobe and Video Light, is a testament to that commitment. This being their first underwater strobe shows a strong start to a category that already has some excellent products. But this strobe may just take the lead in what has become known as a "hybrid" cross between strobes and lights.

With few details available at present, as the strobe is still in the final stages of development, but we can expect the following:

• Strobe power around 150 Ws. The strobe will have a circular tube to provide a very uniform light, covering the whole area of the shot, unlike the linear tubes.
• Strobe has TTL, HSS and M modes. UW Technics has always been known for their excellent TTL Converters, these strobes will offer the best quality TTL and HSS lighting.
• All UW Technics TTL-Converters (internal and External) will support the strobe TTL/HSS profile.
• Focusing light 600lm also provides "Auto Off" during the flash to prevent the torch beam influence on the exposure.
• Video light has 8 steps of adjustment in the range of 600 up to 10000 lm, with an index of CRI =92, so this is true color high quality video light.
