Sea & Sea MDXL A7IV Underwater Housing for Sony A7R IV
Sea & Sea is a maker of high quality, aluminum, Japanese-made housings. The Sea & Sea MDXL A7IV underwater housing is an elegant device featuring entirely new features from Sea & Sea's novel MDXL line of housings. With MDXL housings, Sea & Sea are now offering trim inserts into their handles, ball mounts included standard with the housing, and a leak sentinel vacuum valve included standard with the housing. That's a lot more bang for the buck! The port lock is specially made to prevent the port from turning accidentally.

Key Features:
Handles
The handles for the housing has been improved by adding silicone inserts which provides comfort, firm & steady grip and style. The silicon compound material has been implanted into the handles.
Ball Bases
SA8 Fixed Ball Bases are now included with the housing as a standard
Vacuum System
The Leak Sentinel Vacuum Valve now comes as a standard with the housing. This draws air from inside the housing and checks if there is a beach on the seal. It will alert you if the seal integrity of the housing has been compromised. This gives the peace of mind that the housing is completely sealed and its safe to enter the water.
Label
Knobs, bottons and levers are partially colored yellow and buttons have luminesccent labels which makes it visible even in low light conditions.
Buoyancy Pocket
The housing has been designed to have a cavity located under the camera. This gives you an additional 250g lift which makes the camera & housing rig lighter. Not only that, it can also be used to mount an additional battery pack.
TTL/Flash Trigger Accessories:
1. Compatible with the manual flash trigger/s
This is an excellent choice if you don't want to use cumbersome sync cords but you want quick recycle times.
2. Compatible with the optical YS TTL converter S1. This optical TTL converter syncs the camera signal with the Sea & Sea YS strobe for accurate TTL auto exposure control from the strobe.
*please note that the "ADP-MAA" from Sony is sold sperately and required for connection the camera to the optical YS converter
